Python libraries you should know

  1. Pillow: Pillow is a friendly fork of PIL (Python Imaging Library), but is more user-friendly. Pillow is the free and opensource library for python language. It was released in the year 2009. It helps in performing various operations on the image, like making image blurr, smoothing adjusting it’s brightness, contrast and many more such operations. It is available for windows, Linux, Mac OS. The pillow supports various file formats such as are PPM, PNG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, and BMP.

  2. Numpy: It is the python library which is used to perform the operations on the arrays. It was released in the year 2005 by Travis Oliphant. Here we usually called array object as ndarray. Most part of the Numpy was created using C and C++.

  3. Matplotlib: It is the python library which is used in plotting graphs from given dataset. It uses Pyplot as submodule. Matplotlib was created by John D. Hunter. It is open-source and free to use.

  4. SQLAlchemy: It was designed for efficient and high-performing database-access. SQLAlchemy was created by Mike Bayer in year 2005. It provides interface to relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite.
  5. PyGTK: PyGTK lets you easily create programs with a GUI (Graphical User Interface) with Python. It provides with the various tools which are used in creating the desktop applications in python. It is developed using python and c language.
  6. Pandas: Pandas is the open source python package which is used in machine learning and other tasks.Pandas can be imported using import pandas as pd.
